Rotonda West is laid out in the shape of an incomplete wagon wheel with over 20,000 acres of greenbelts, fairways, ponds, lakes and 23 miles of waterways made up of seven distinct subdivisions (spokes in the wheel)
If you love nature, many exotic and beautiful birds live in the Rotonda West area which has been designated a bird sanctuary. You may also see other wildlife in the area, alligators, armadillos, wild pig, raccoons, and once in a while a bobcat has been seen running across the streets.
Whether you are a sun worshipper or not, the beaches of Southwest Florida must be seen, crystal clear waters, bright sunny days and many activities available such as deep sea fishing charters, boat rentals, day cruises and jet ski rentals. On Gasparilla Island you can rent a boat, jet ski, bikes or golf carts to see the island. There are many restaurants just a short drive away where you can sample some of Florida's finest seafood.
